Pensão Amor: from brothel to trendy bar

Pensão Amor brings the vibe of an old brothel to the present. It doesn't invite sailors and prostitutes anymore, but people that want to travel in time.

Now it shares its stories with the visitors and all of them have the same ingredient in common: love. Even if it was charged by the hour. 

Velvet armchairs, red walls and chandeliers... all is part of the last century forbidden house vibe of this spot. This way, Pensão Amor still has its bohemian feel but it is also possible to grab a cocktail with some friends, dance and even take pole dancing classes. 

On the first wednesday of every month, this bar gets even more seductive with burlesque shows by the Voix de Ville Cabaret Burlesque Show group. 

This mythical Cais do Sodré spot was renovated recently and transformed itself in one of the coolest bars in Lisbon. It was also considered by the New York Times as one of the mandatory spots to visit in the portuguese capital. 

Pensão Amor is open every day at midday. On weekends, the place is opened until 4h00. Everyone is welcomed to visit this place. Just remember: "All you need is love".
