Os Grammy Awards 2014 são já esta noite

A 56ª edição dos Grammy Awards realiza-se esta noite em Los Angeles, EUA. Entre os artistas que irão marcar presença no evento estão Madonna, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Lorde, Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar, John Legend e Keith Urban. Destaque ainda para a reunião de Paul McCartney e Ringo Starr.

Esta madrugada, Beyonce canta ao lado do marido, Jay Z, a banda Metallica toca com Lang Lang, os Daft Punk atuam com Nile Rodgers, Pharell Williams e Stevie Wonder. São algumas das parcerias que vão subir ao palco dos Grammy Awards.

Entre os apresentadores da festa, conduzida por LL Cool J, estão músicos como Marc Anthony, os Black Sabbath, Ariana Grande, Gloria Estefan, Steven Tyler e Yoko Ono, além de atores como Jeremy Renner, Julia Roberts, Anna Kendrick e Neil Patrick Harris, e ainda artistas como Jared Leto e Jamie Foxx.

Representados por McCartney e Starr, os Beatles serão homenageados com o prémio ‘Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement’.

Antes da festa, decorre uma cerimónia que irá anunciar os vencedores em 70 categorias, a maioria delas são técnicas. A “pré-cerimónia” será conduzida pela cantora Cindy Lauper e os resultados serão exibidos apenas no site oficial do Grammy Awards.

O rapper Jay Z lidera a lista de nomeados ao Grammy 2014, recebendo nove indicações ao maior prémio da música, dominando nas categorias técnicas e de rap. Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Pharrell Williams e Justin Timberlake concorrem em sete categorias.

Além disso, outros artistas com várias indicações foram Drake e Bob Ludwig, ambos com cinco. Daft Punk, Lorde, Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift e Bruno Mars concorrem em quatro categorias.
