The panoramic view of the Nossa Senhora do Monte’s viewpoint

The city of Lisbon has more than 30 viewpoints. It is very difficult to choose which one is the prettiest, but many prefer the Nossa Senhora do Monte’s viewpoint, at Graça.

The spot offers visitors a panoramic view of the entire city and attracts hundreds of couples and tourists. It can be reached by foot, by "tuk tuk" or the more traditional "tram 28".

At Nossa Senhora do Monte’s viewpoint it is possible to see the river Tagus, São Jorge’s Castle, part of downtown’s Chiado, Bairro Alto,

Royal Basilica and many other emblematic buildings of the Portuguese capital.

The light bathes this place majestically, especially at sunset. Plus, there is a little chapel where several pregnant women still go to this day to ask for the protection of Nossa Senhora do Monte during childbirth.
