Taste tradition in the Café Portugal Hotel Rossio

In the same spot where once stood the iconic Café Portugal, that opened in 1938, now stands an homage to the original place Portuguese people visited to taste the best national dishes, made with upmost respect for tradition. Now called the Café Portugal by My Story Hotel Rossio, the restaurant is part of a hotel.

The desserts offered are also a portrait of Portuguese tradition: from the ‘Farófias’ (egg whites and sugar puffs) to the cloud-like ‘Sericaia’ (soft cake with cinnamon) with a side of marinated Elvas’s plums.

We recommend you to make reservations, as the Café Portugal is usually very crowded.
